On Sunday night, I had the great privilege of seeing my grandfather cross the finish line. Like so many pilgrims before him, he crossed the river of death and met the Savior on the other side. One moment he was sucking stale air through an oxygen mask; the next moment he was inhaling the glories of heaven.

For some time I've had a church member provide me with a rose boutonniere to pin on the lapel of my suit every Sunday. Because I always got a flower on Sunday morning, I really did not think much of it. It was a nice gesture that became routine. One Sunday, however, what I considered ordinary became very special.

I was in a coffee shop with a friend last
week when a man walked in, sat down for a few
minutes, got back up and walked out. I was on the
phone with him at the time when his tone suddenly
changed: “That guy’s walked out and left his bag

WHAT DOES YOUR COMPASSION DO TO YOU?

Life is wonderful. It can also be incredibly hard. From one day to the next you never know what’s around the corner and a single moment can change your life from one of ease and happiness to a scenario of sorrow and hardship. Sickness, loss, financial struggles, and conflict can hit anyone at any time, without notice, and none of us are immune. It’s during the hard times when a little something called compassion from those around you can make all the difference.

WHEN THE CHURCH HURTS

I grew up going to church my whole life. I’ve seen the church be there for my family, help those in need, give us a place to worship God, build friendships, and grow as believers of Jesus.

But I’ve also see the church hurt people – hurt people I love; hurt me. I’ve seen the church judge people, blame people, treat people unfairly, reject people, and turn their back on people.

So what shall we do? Turn our back on the church; shun her; condemn her; judge her; reject her; publicly defame her? After all, that’s what she has done to us, isn’t it?

The problem with this tempting philosophy is that it is flawed. While many of the things I mentioned have happened to me and perhaps to you, the church is not a human being, it’s not a single person that did these things. The church in and of itself can’t do much at all. Without the people that make up the church, it is just walls and chairs and lights.

The truth is, the church didn’t hurt us – people did. A person, or a few people said those things, did those things that hurt us. But turning your back on church because certain individuals hurt you is like boycotting McDonald’s because one of the cashiers insulted you.

Being hurt by people in church is unfortunately a very raw reality for too many people. So what should we do? Here’s a couple of things I try to remember:

The church didn’t hurt you, people did: Whether you like it or not, God has chosen for the church of Jesus Christ to carry on the work He started here on earth. To be His hands and feet, to bring light into dark places, to help those who are in need. People aren’t perfect; people mess up, people are sinful, and people make mistakes. But don’t turn your back on God’s idea because some people blew it.
Watch what you say: The Bible says that the Church is the bride of Christ and He is coming back for her. Now “She” is made up of all of us who believe in Jesus and gather together in His name. So if She is His bride then we must watch what we say about Her. You would never say to a bridegroom, “Hey, I like you a lot but your bride sucks!”. So why do we say that to Jesus? If not with our words, then certainly with our actions.
I am sorry if people in church have hurt you. I pray that you will be able to forgive them and try to move past it. I pray that you will find a church that you can call home. I pray that you can play your part to see the church fulfil her God ordained destiny on the earth.

And I pray that when Jesus comes back for His bride, the Church, that you will be found in that number.

Perhaps being hurt by church has caused you to walk away from God. Or perhaps you have been so put off by how people in the church have acted, that you’ve never opened your life to Him. I pray that you would come back to Him today, or open your heart to Him for the first time.

LUST AND THE LADY

A young, beautiful and very intelligent lady lived her life with the hope of finding true love among men but failed to realize that true love can only be found in Christ Jesus.
This young lady would go as far as selling whatever assets she has to keep and please a man but in the end,she would end up being heartbroken and losing everything.
So determined as she was, she would pick up the pieces of her broken heart and jack up again only to keep on experiencing the same thing over and over again then,a day came and she layed down on her bed and thought, does true love realy exist and a verse came from the bible

A new word, a life changing observation changed her life for good.
She prayed to God for forgiveness of sin, she asked for grace to kill the love of man in her and nurtur the love of Christ. From that moment on ,she eschewed fornication and embraced the word of God.

What does the bible truly says about masturbation ? What does the word masturbation mean? What spiritual, physical and psychological effects of masturbation.

It is therefore wise for us to know that God created them male and female and not male and male ,female and female nor male alone, nor female alone.

Therefore, our body is of/for God and masturbating means fornicating with your body ,thereby provoking God to anger.
What does the word " MASTURBATION " mean? MASTURBATION ,is an act of giving self pleasure there by putting pressure on the sensitive parts of your body for sexual pleasure .
Effects of MASTURBATION on the human body:
SPIRITUALLY;
1. It makes you commit sin with your body thereby provoking God to anger.
2. It makes you connected to a spirit husband / wife.
3. It causes delay in marriage because,you get used to pleasuring yourself sexually ad you end up not seeing a need to settle down.
4. Masturbation causes problems in marriage, your sex life with your husband/wife reduces and you loose interest in your spouse . this can lead to a crack in the marriage.
PHYSICALLY:
1.When you are addicted to MASTURBATION,you don't care when or where you do it when the urge comes which makes people see you as INSANE.
2. When you are addicted to MASTURBATION,you tend to stay away from the opposite sex thereby loosing your chances of getting married.
3.For the men: MASTURBATION reduces the length and size of a man's sex organ .
For women: MASTURBATION causes bacterial infections, yeast infection, e.t.c . it can also cause injuries around your genitals.
PSYCHOLOGICALLY :
1.MASTURBATION causes low self esteem for example; when you friend works into your room and finds you masturbating,you became scared of the possibility of exposure there by loosing courage to talk to your friend especially in public.
2. MASTURBATION makes you loose focus in life because when sexually aroused,you become confused until the tension in you reduces.
3.MASTURBATION makes you prone to STD's
I urge you this afternoon to stay away from MASTURBATION by giving your life to Christ and I believe he would forgive you your trespasses and make you whole again in Jesus name .
